Does Esplorio work offline?

Esplorio works without any 3G/4G/WiFi connection and without roaming data

Esplorio works great without internet access. You can track your travels, add photos and even write annotations whilst being in the mid-Atlantic or up in the Atacama desert.

Getting the best results

For best results, keep WiFi and Cellular on (but turn off data roaming if you'll get charged) as we use those radios in addition to your GPS to minimise battery usage (yes, it sounds counterintuitive but it's true!) and accurately track your travels.

When Esplorio gets access to internet it will work some magic to figure out the names of the places you visited when you were offline and take the opportunity to sync so that if you have any friends and family following you, they'll be able to see how much fun you're having!

Can I add posts/photos while offline?

Yes! Tap your Diary or open your trip and add to your heart's content.
