How our unique tracking system works on iOS

Esplorio has a unique and easy to use tracking system that's accurate, uses very little battery to keep you going when travelling, and above all keeps your data safe and private.

Some key features you won't find elsewhere:

All-day battery life - using a fraction of the battery of other tracking apps, allowing you to travel the world without worrying about your battery.
Automatic checkins and place naming - We automatically journal the places you visit and photos you take so you don't need to spend the best times of your travels tapping on an app.
Precise tracks - Esplorio keeps accurate tracks allowing you to retrace the roads you drove on or the hikes you took.
Works offline (no data roaming required) - whether you're in downtown San Francisco, a penguin colony in Antarctica or a jungle in St Lucia, Esplorio's tracking will work even without data coverage. When you next connect to a network or use WiFi Esplorio will automatically make sense of the data it has collected.

We built our tracking technology in-house and were supported by the European Space Agency in doing so. We use cellular reception, WiFi (you'll get best results if you leave WiFi on even when you're not using it) and GPS in concert to intelligently get accurate tracks with little battery usage.
