When does Esplorio sync?

When, what and how Esplorio synchronises your data and photos

Esplorio will periodically sync and backup with our servers in the European Union. Your data is not shared with any third parties unless you say so*.

Esplorio syncs two different types of data:

Photos - These are large files and so by default these will only sync when you have access to WiFi.
Location points, posts and everything else - These are small and will be synchronised when a cellular data connection is available. This will typically be less than 400kb per day.

How can I tell if Esplorio hasn't finished synchronising?

At any time you can visit More to see how many photos and points are waiting for synchronisation.

Can I allow photos to be uploaded using your cellular connection?

Yes! Head to More and turn on Upload Photos via Cellular. But beware as photo files are large, this could use a lot of your data, so please only enable this if you're sure your data plan will not charge you.
